I am delighted to present my complete set of Africa Cup of Nations tactical and team guides.

These should act as a handy resource for fans during the Afcon and should help to introduce those unfamiliar with the continent’s national sides to get a feel of the personnel and respective tactical approaches before the tournament begins.

Many outlets will be profiling the teams’ key men and star players, and so I’ve not focused on doing that, but rather, have attempted to give a ‘feeling’ of the identity of each of the 16 teams and to outline Dove2some of the key tactical/personnel problems or idiosyncrasies to watch out for during the build-up and throughout the tournament itself.

To comment on or question any of the points outlined in these guides (or just to chat about African football or the continent itself) please get in touch on Twitter: @Eddydove
